Navigating the sprawling world of Hogwarts Legacy often requires players to combine spatial awareness with precise spell casting to overcome environmental obstacles. During "The High Keep" main quest, players are tasked with infiltrating Falbarton Castle by ascending its steep outer walls. Understanding the exact route and spell combinations needed to scale the battlements ensures smooth progression without unnecessary delays.
Reaching Falbarton Castle and Initial Setup
To begin the sequence, players must travel to Falbarton Castle, located northeast of Hogsmeade. Upon arrival, meet Natty near the entrance bridge to initiate the quest steps. Head east past the bridge to locate the initial climbing ledges that lead toward the base of the battlements.
Solving the First Crate and Ledge Puzzle
Once you climb the lower wall, turn left to find a small room containing a gate mechanism. Target the mechanism with Depulso to raise the gate, revealing a large crate inside. Cast Accio to pull the crate out, then position it beneath the broken wall using Wingardium Leviosa.

Bypassing the Gatehouse Barriers
After reaching the top, proceed around the walkway until you encounter a wooden barricade blocking a small opening. Destroy the boards with a basic spell attack to clear the crawlspace. Before entering, walk around the exterior window and cast Accio on the interior crate to clear the path inside.
Crawl through the gap into the gatehouse control room. Cast Depulso multiple times on the main gate mechanism to raise the heavy portcullis. Quickly cast Accio on the wall ring to lock the gate open and allow Natty to enter.
Ascending the Final Broken Stairs
Follow Natty up the path until you reach a section with broken stairs. Look up toward the small enclosure and cast Depulso to push the crate down the opening. Use Wingardium Leviosa to position the fallen crate right in the middle of the broken stairway gap.
Finish by casting Levioso to lock the crate in mid-air, creating a temporary platform. Jump onto the hovering block and climb to the top landing. From here, stealth or combat can be used to navigate past the remaining poachers on your way to the castle roof.
